The Students’ Fortress club was founded in March 2016 and inaugurated at the maiden students’ fortress conference. The conference was the gathering of five thousand students, and two hundred teachers of the Lagos state education district I. The district consists of ninety-nine public secondary schools in Agege, Alimosho and Ifako Ijaiye local government areas of Lagos state.
Following the establishment of the club and through the efforts of the students supported by the teachers and the management of the Lagos state education district I, pass rate of the district improved from 39% to 71% in external examinations within twelve months.
The students’ fortress club is a platform created by Positive Growth Africa for the students to support one another, thereby developing their leadership skills.
